Those GP50s were considered the hot thing for hauling BN's hotshots to and from the Northwest back in their day. Coupled around a fuel tender on occasion. They helped usher in a new wave of four-axled power pulling intermodals and fast freights on several different roads. Sounds like a subject worthy of coverage...in some magazine...some day.
