Ideally, the rail line would be located through the center of the roundabout (as in FL: [
www.tcrpc.org] and NZ: [
www.google.com.au] or this tram line in Melbourne AU: [
www.google.com.au]). This one in Blenheim NZ ( [
www.google.com.au]) is less than optimal. Santa Cruz ( [
www.google.com]) of course is far less than optimal, as Brian has informed us (and he is correct in this instance, though the problem isn't the railroad's fault, it's the City's design for the roundabout). Given the alignment of the railroad and streets, however, I don't think an optimal solution is likely unless the City's engineers were creative: [
www.google.com]; something like the Blenheim roundabout in NZ is more likely.
