It's not just automation, companies are leaving CA because of the onerous regulations here. You almost can't paint anything in this state, chemicals used in manufacturing are regulated so tightly here that it's just too expensive to operate here. My wife works at a hospital, health care? NO, we're under Covered California, and our doctor (that we've had for decades)doesn't accept it. I'm self-employed, so I have no choice. Next year I'll be under Medicare, I'm waiting to see if that's any better.
The homeless seem to be growing by leaps and bounds; you see them everywhere, and they are getting bolder about staking their "territory" too. Something is going very wrong in our society. Some claim it is our country becoming a third-world nation. Me? I have no idea, I just know that politicians make big promises, and spend our money doing so. I don't trust ANY of them.
