My wife and I were in Carpinteria over the weekend, and both Sunday and Monday mornings about 4:00-4:30 AM I could hear what sounded like a freight train pass by (our hotel was about 2 blocks from the tracks). Can't say I am 100% sure because, well, I was groggy.

Anybody know what passes through town at that hour?
