No, I'm not drinking Kool-Aid. In San Antonio TX, where I live, the local power company has already shuttered on coal plant and is planning on shutting the other one. We have extensive solar and wind. And more gas than you can flare in the Eagle Ford. We're doing just fine.

However, the "clean coal" advocates always avoid talking about how to deal with the poisonous ash that coal burning produces. Their silence speaks volumes. So, you coal advocates, speak up about safe ash disposal. Duke Energy apologists are barred for obvious reasons.
