But one of organizations mentioned, Bently Agro Dynamics of Minden, NV (www.bentlyenterprises.com) talked of a fantasy some years ago of resurrecting the V&T along the old ROW between Minden and Carson City and somehow tying it into the national rail network. As nutty as that sounds, the Mina/Thorne Branch passes Fort Churchill on the Carson River, a geographic location visible to the naked eye from Virginia City. This was roughly the old C&C ROW between Dayton, NV and Fort Churchill.
