Donner Pass's old #1 track

Here's tunnel #7 at Donner Pass, California back in 2002, nearly ten years after the old Central Pacific route was deactivated. You have to wonder what plans might be in the future for the old track #1. Tunnel #41 will be worked upon therefore making the line a bottleneck. It would make sense to temporarily re-open the old #1 as a shoo-fly around the work. But I suppose pigs will fly first.
