If you want a good route for artifact hunting aka scrapper's junk, I'd suggest the spur just off
the original Central Pacific crossing in Folsom. The line hugs the south wall of the American
River and heads east. The line ends in an area where I'm sure there's still lots to see and there's people there that can help you.
