Thanks for the info Arlen.
Great! Another government pork project and waste of 120 Million dollars.
So with brand new equipment that is designed for reliability they need 48 hour maintenance windows? What's wrong with the equipment? Locomotives can run for weeks non stop without much more than fuel and checking the oil levels.
This is a prime example of how Trimet does NOT serve the people. I understand having more trains during commute hours to handle the people, but they need to run trains with less frequency the rest of the time if people are ever going to start using public transit.
They should be required to run every hour outside of commuter hours from like 6 AM till midnight.
I was planning on being able to take the train to get to max and go to blazer games, shopping or other events in Portland on weekends and even to the Airport. Was looking forward to getting a trimet monthly pass.
I have watched the building of the line down here and the Wilsonville station looks very nice. Except they should have had a larger covered area on the platfom, it will be raining most of the time.
Once all of our SMART buses move to the new station is will all be connected with the Salem buses coming up to serve it too. But without trains serving it how good will it be?
Guess I should not have expected much.
