If you can get your hands on a copy of, "A Century of Southern Pacific Steam Locomotives" by Guy L. Dunscomb, you will have the answer(s) to any and all such questions. There will be some changes, such as the 1771 has been removed from display from Placerville to the CSRR Museums stock yard, etc. But all in all it's a great source of information. :)
