Anyone losing their life such as this, is a terrible tragedy. Why people decide to do these things is beyond my comprehension. I once was watching for the afternoon turn on the U.P Waco Sub where it crosses the Lower Colorado River. I thought that I was alone. As the train approached the bridge span, I noticed two heads popping out above the ties between the rails! These two jackasses evidently climbed out midspan and somehow got up under the tracks where they stuck their heads up between the ties to look at the oncoming train. The train passed with no injuries to them (except for common sense). I can only imagine what was going through the crew's minds as they came upon this foolishness.

Challenging a train is Darwinistic. You seldom, if ever, win. Photo ops are absolutely no excuse for a lapse of common sense. Still, we can see this each and every day.
