I did not follow the links, but this sounds like a Bo'Bo'+Bo'Bo' configuration (in other words, a (probably permanently or semi-permanently coupled) set of two locomotives.

However, a Co'Co or Bo'Bo'Bo' configuration could also have that power installed; tractive force would be smaller, but it could be maintained up to a higher speed (look at some v/t diagrams, to see what I mean).
