Well, it is 2017, when they had "planned" to start Capitols service to Salinas, way back in 2013. But, I can't find very much on how much money they've found to do the improvements needed, or the actual progress made to start service, or on any new proposed "start" date for any new service.
It is hard to believe that we won WWII in just four years, and built the first half of the interstate system in 10 years, when you see these projects moving at a glacial pace, in scales of almost geologic time.....
Of course, we have to complete a 220 mph line from Chowchilla to Fresno as our "first" priority for our limited rail funding.......
