The story on the 849 is...complicated. Hopefully I can elaborate soon. However, it should be noted that the engine is in poor mechanical shape and needs a ton of expensive work.
As for the 5 Baldwins we once had, four are still on the property. The city of Hines, OR wants to acquire one of the O&NW AS-616s for display, the other is slated to be fixed and put into our Run A Locomotive program at some point, probably painted either SP or McCloud (since it worked for both).
The green NVR DS-4-4-750 is being held for a historic display back in its original hometown of Fernie, British Columbia.
The yellow USSteel S12 is also slated to be eventually returned to operation for the Run A Locomotive program.
The fifth one (ex McCloud River 30) was sold back to the McCloud Railway at the request of Jeff Forbis many years ago. It is still there under the current owners of the railroad.
