In fall of 98 UP was having a minor meltdown when I was working on the KYLE. I was on the Salina I/C job. One day I made it 10 miles on the KP main east of Salina before being releived. Next day train never moved from time van dropped us off to when it came back and picked us up. Next day made 12 miles. 22 miles in three 12 hour days. For a slow road like the KYLE that is was the slowest trips I ever worked for them.
