There's only ONE "petition" that will save Amtrak.
It's not moveon.org.
It's not change.org.
It's not even the kind that you have to beg people to sign.
It's called booking tickets at www.amtrak.com for each and every trip you take.
Every trip.
Every time.
No exception.
Not even if your grandmother's aunt Sally is on her death bed.
Every trip.
Every time.
You, your significant other, your parents, your children. All your friends and family. Always on Amtrak. No exception. Every trip.
That's the one and only way you will save Amtrak. If you are flying or driving somewhere, even if it's commuting to work, you should just print yourself a button that says "I don't need Amtrak, and I want it killed." And wear that button PROUDLY.
