A club like the cub scouts, boy scouts, girl scouts, etc.
Club leaders take kids on rail themed day and overnight trips, and organized tours visits to rail yards and shops and museums.
Kids learn about safety, photography, train ops, rules of good behavior, and something about commerce, engineering and the economy.
Gets kids away from video games, computer screens, or getting into trouble if they live in a problem environment, and into the outdoors. Promotes bonding between kids and other kids and adults.
Can even lead to interest in a railroad career.
