Manhattan is a "great thing"? To me 100 story buildings are just architect erectile dysfunction; they know the higher they are(contrary to Budd Schulberg)the less likely they are to fall. As in urban removal, Vegas style PR implosion, eminent domain. So the taller you build it the longer your legacy.

A great thing? IMHO reading the Herculaneum scrolls and then finding more if you can talk the Italian government into resuming excavation. So what if it is just Philodemus, a second rate Epicurean? His work would have gotten burned, just like Cicero.
