L.A. Union Station/Griffith Park Questions

It's been a VERY LONG time since I've spent time in the L.A Basin. Were all those UP Steam engines I saw with my Dad when I was a wee kid at Grif- Park? Travel Town? Are they still there?
Google Maps from Riverside Ave and Fletcher (duel Gas stations post) trolling around from there. Look around downtown, LA Union Station. Was there not a large Spanish Style station there and did they demolish that to put up a BOX?
To expensive to earthquake proof it?
City council should be.....
When did that all happen?
