I'm not sure exactly how many SD60Ms UP had rebuilt in to SD59MXs, but doing a quick search it looks like 28, UP 9900 to UP 9927. No idea how successful or if more will be rebuilt.

As for where to find them, a lot of them seem to be used on the hauler type locals out of Roseville. They can often be found on the Redding Turn (LRV64/LRV65), the Canyon Flyer (LRC67/LRC68), MRVWS/MWSRV, MRVOA/MOARV, the Tracy Hauler (LRS54) and probably some other similar type jobs. I don't believe they are all confined to this Roseville Pool, but that seems to be the best place to find them. They will often be mixed in with SD70Ms on these jobs, but are nice clean looking units, so it's always a treat to find one leading.
