The retired Conrail CEO is an excellent to watch over American Railroads .While he was at Conrail, he allow his railroad to use a locomotive engineer training program that was not approved by FRA. ( Discovered during the Paulsboro bridge collapse lawsuit )The caused dozens of laws suits to be re-filed, mostly regarding grade crossing collisions. The fall out is tens of millions of dollars in additional claims.

FRA needs a person with a keen eye for detail like this.
