actually the entire zone was intact
until BART appeared, then a wholesale
removal began, there are a couple of
sections still left in the ground
between rollins road & adrian road,
but on now private property, the two
biggest customers were pacific redi mix and a paper warehouse, on what is
now broderick road, there was a manufacturing plant south of the depot on the running track adjacent to the mainline, they made appliances
and there also was an electrical
equipment manufacture, halfway between broderick road and the appliance mamufacture, they had 4 spots at one time, all the rail
traffic had moved out of millbrae
decades earlier, the last two were
pscific redi and the paper warehouse
and were gone at least 10 years before the millbrae overpass was
built, millbrae was served out of
either bayshore or santa clara, the
furthetest south, the south city
switcher job went was san bruno, and
that was because, the then trackage
was a continuation of existing
trackage in sourh city, the gentleman
at tbe millbrae train museum at 650-333-1136 is exttemely knowledgeable
