Re: Railroad in Del Puerto Canyon, CA.

This is canyon that is located west of Interstate 5, west of the City of Patterson. It is very steep, especially on the west end as it climbs into the San Antonio Valley. So unless it served an industry (nothing up there but cattle ranches) before it got to that grade, I am not sure it would work. I have been in and around that area for 30 years and have never heard of a railroad or even the industry to support it.
