Great Pics, thanks for sharing

Reminds me of when the BN was formed, and they tore out the NP tracks from Bellingham, around Lake Whatcom to Wickersham. Never got any pics either of it, I was in Alaska when it happened and my father who was retired GN knew the crews. They tore everything out behind our house. Only thing left is a small piece of the trestle on the North end of Lake Whatcom.

Did get an interesting item from the track gang: They took pieces of the rail and made them into fireplace log holders. Had dates from the early 1900's on the pieces. We would burn the wood in the fireplace and that rail would get red hot.
