Colfax bridge was a unique situation, plenty of water in trucks, firefighters just standing there watching. Once bridge inspector demanded they fight fire, they were able to stop it easily with their water foam mix and managed to save 70% of the structure, couple of weeks later, hiway department showed up with equipment and demolished undamaged portion of bridge for no known reason. Yes, this is very suspect actions.
