I went there about 15 years ago and was watching the switching from the end of the yard entrance road and had a UP cop chase me off. I'll admit that I was on their property but barely past the property line. I had just entered when the guy stopped me. I was impressed how tightly they were watching the place. Now security is so lax that homeless can make their home there? Weird.
I also saw the after effects of the so called homeless living in the the SF Belt locomotives stored in their yard about where AT&T park is now. It was disgusting. Animals don't mess their nests. I don't get why the homeless do.
