Wellborn's disaster......

Once upon a time, it was a true counter balanced system, with the cars connected to a counter balance wheel, preventing collision and runaway, and Angels Flight had a perfect safety record from when it was built to when it was moved, nearly seventy years. Now, we are lucky to keep it working safely for three days in a row....? Wow, we've certainly come a long way.....haven't we?
