There have been several bad flashlight apps. in the past couple of years for both android and apple products. One app. gives you a flashlight o.k., but it tracks GPS location of the user and reports back to the creator of the app---if your phone is not GPS equipped, then it reports the GPS location of the towers used. Some home robberies have been tracked to that app. Still another flashlight app. has a key logger and attempts to gain personal info. of the user for I.D. theft. Best bet, buy a flashlight.
