I'm with George, that it's not likely Kincaid. Although the second track doesn't look to be a main.

The area to the north of the tracks where the lower tangent end of Kincaid is (still) located (if the shot is toward the mountains behind Azusa) would have had way less slope just to the north side of the tracks and even quarries (some quarries or remnants of quarries still visible there today).

That apparent slope to the left side of the train in this photo, even more than the distance to the mountains, which depending on lens, can seem closer, makes me think it is not Kincaid.

If it were that location it location this would be where the brewery is today next to the 210 and Gold Line Irwindale station is today. So if you are driving down the 210 eastbound, parallel to the Pasadena Sub and GL at the brewery, you can check it against your view of the mountains looking eastward, about a half a mile before the Irwindale off ramp.

This would also appear to be morning light coming from the east by the shadows, not midday winters sun from the south. With that angle of morning sun, possibly this would be the Super Chief,or the pre high level El Capitan, possibly running a bit late down Cajon, if that is the location.

Yes, big accident at Kincaid.
