I know we got some SD-9s in helper service in SLO and they were set up for snow service. They had a wire, switch, etc. but the "Rotary" wiper was installed outside the window but wasn't there. Never saw that part. Just a handy box on a wire that said "UP-DOWN" (for a flanger) and a conn. to the wiper.
