Construction on the new double track concrete bridge that replaced the historic Milwaukee wooden trestle in Tacoma is fast nearing completion.
The new bridge structure is complete and the second track (main 1) is being installed.
After a fury of work in the last couple of weeks the south side platform is complete enough to be used for a milestone in the project: the new Sounder schedule with four extra runs (2 extra trains), complete with a stable of new cab cars. This new schedule requires the use of both tracks and platforms at the Tacoma Dome Station.
