Both groups deserve high praise. In a way I am most impressed by the Laws Museum. I was there in 1960 when it started and it was a rather bleak site without much to attract anyone but a dedicated railfan. They have managed to make the museum both attractive and interesting to a broad range of people, while preserving a good part of the old railroad ambience. It was a great background for the 18, and it is amazing how well my pix taken last weekend fit in with my pix taken of the ng. 57 years ago. And as pointed out above it would not take a lot of additional track to provide some sense of the mainline through the sage way back when, probably a couple of hundred yards would do it, at least to start. Hopefully the very successful past weekend will give both groups a good boost and provide some incentive for similar events in the future.
