Part of the idea here I understand is to enable Sacramento Valley Service, but it's always seemed to me that this would be better accomplished by extending Capitol Corridor trains.

In general I think it's a historical misfortune that the San Joaquins leave the ex-SP lines that hit the hearts of most of the Valley's cities and towns at all.
