Right now both projects are still listed as 'future extensions'. I don't think you will see either move forward at all for a while, the state of Utah is currently looked at dissolving the current UTA management structure, options include a complete state takeover or major changes to how the board of directors is made up and appointed. This is part of the fallout from a scandal a year or so back when it was discovered that one of the board members had a stake in a real estate developer that was building transit oriented developments near a FrontRunner station. There are currently a couple of projects underway (such as the Provo/Orem Bus Rapid Transit lanes) but until all the politics are sorted out its doubtful any brand new projects will get approved.
