Second edit: I just noticed there is a station, Maricopa, on the Sunset Railway out of Bakersfield. So I bet John Hungerford shot the 2914 on the Sunset line at Maricopa. Not Arizona.

I'm done guessing for now. I'll let you guys figure it out.
