BNSF 2422 went to LTEX before going to Southwestern, now leased to Goose Lake Railway. I probably saw this engine many times over my lifetime in Southern California on the Night Coast, Escondido Local, 4th District Local, around LA or on Cajon Pass.
RE: The cryptic "Chehalis" message. According to public records, Stan Patterson is a partner with Frontier et al on the YCR/Yakima Central (Does Stan own the YCR RS4TC units?). The Western Washington (WWR) was a partnership that Frontier was involved in. Since then, Frontier as WRL bought the WWR line (and the Western Jct. shop) from the City of Tacoma. Frontier now owns and operates the line as WRL/"Ranier Rail". (Wasn't Rainier Ale a local brew?) WWR #23 was always a Frontier engine, but other equipment is WWR that disposition has yet to be determined.
On an interesting note - LCR/LRY #700 is going "home" after about a 25 year absence (assuming it ends up at Chehalis/Western Jct.) It was built new for NKP, rebuilt by M-K for Weyerhaeuser, boomed around several of their lines (including the Chehalis Western out of Western Jct.) before being sold (through Western Rail?) to Lake County Railroad. While painted by Modoc Northern, it never belonged to them. LRY inherited it with the operation and the County gave them the engine in exchange for its return to service. It has been out of service for a while, so hopefully will return to service again. Not too bad of a lifespan for a loco!
