Let's just say the chances might be a little better that some of those tax dollars could be directed toward Amtrak if they weren't going into the pockets of Boeing, Northrop-Grumman, Lockheed-Martin, General Atomics . . . the list goes on.
When there are fewer players slurping at the trough, the ones who are there are better fed.
Why is building a B-21 or an aircraft carrier so profitable but if any car builder tries to build a railroad passenger car here in the U.S.A. it's an uphill battle to make a profit?
Sounds to me like there's something wrong with the system.
