On the days I am more cynical, I agree; the crooks will usually find a way. On my more hopeful days I dream that we might occasionally see some progress. I am minded of a chat with an MTC exec who was sure that AC was a bad idea and would not draw ridership. I note that they now run 3 trains each way rather than the 2 when they started, and have plans to increase and widen service. Meanwhile MTC has sabotaged the Dumbarton idea, and encouraged BART in huge waste--have any of you visited the Warm Springs station? There is room there to corral several sardined out 10 car trains worth of riders on the mezzanine, why???
