Margaret, I'm curious to know what you mean by "huge" profits in defense contracting. Is it a "percent" of something or just a number with a lot zeroes? Do you think that we should pay them only for their costs?

As for MGEN Butler, we wrote in 1935. If war was a racket then, why was the US so ill-equipped on 7 Dec 1941 to battle the Japanese in the Pacific and German U-boats in the Atlantic?
