During one of those summer "adventures" Hal Wilimunder had his calliope put on the tender of #25 and the woods resounded with that glorious "Steam Piana." I remember once being out at Abrahm's Lake near Black Butte and hearing the music. Why I wasn't down at the tracks, I can't tell you now!
(OK, I was visiting my girl friend, and like the McCloud, she's gone too. . .(well, at least to me).
Somewhere I have a picture of me about 8 years old standing in front of #25. Oh, the dreams we had of a grand railroad museum at/on the McCloud. . . .
