Yes, I am from Dunsmuir, but the Dewey you are thinking of is a distant relative (we never figured out the connection, but almost all the Deweys in US are descended from Thomas Dewey who arrived in America in 1633). My family ran (still does) Cave Springs Resort on the north end of town. However, you probably saw me in McCloud, we served as car hosts & I did a little work on 25--I made the cab window awnings even.
