It was an Amtrak train on the SP, running on the paired track arrangement between Alazon and Weso "Weso" stands for "Wetern-Southern" (Pacific), don't know the origins of "Alazon". If there was a derailment on the SP side, the SP picked it up; for derailments on the WP side, the WP picked them up. It made no difference whose train derailed.
