Of course this thread brought the poor manic train hating gainsaying mouse to a full frothing fevered frenzy of conspiratorial hallucinations with regards to the great sub continental broad gauge conspiracy. I see the posting of the supposed budget numbers did in the earlier post (those are wrong, since as of today CHSRA has already reported in their "press release of late, that they have expended and matched all of the previously obligated Federal fundsf) had a similar effect on his fevered brain.

And yes, as the San Jose/Giiroy fiasco unfolds, never properly planned or vetted as to needs, costs, or benefits, with no proper preliminary engineering, for which we have never actually ever had an operational plan to design this around, and as SJ/Gilroy costs escalate, there will be most assuredly be more problems as a result of this continuously systematically mismanaged project.

Thankfully, there was the "kernel" of a sensible plan B with improvement via Altamont, built into the Gas Tax Bill, that can still save what will be our nearly 8 billion dollars of "stranded" high speed segments in the Valley, that could potentially be used to make that connection, without spending the 15 billion dollars via Gilroy.

Now, I know that just agitates the mouse even more, causing him to foam and froth in spasms of conspiratorial visions, and that this could require a full on visit to the ER just to control the seizures. And, I know that this will cause all of the other usual apologist's for this agencies incompetence and mismanagement to "rail" at me, that I'm just not giving the CHSRA a "fair" chance to "prove" themselves, after 22 years of repeatedly proven incompetence and mismanagement.
