Or SP was smart enough not to run such large engines
with the stacks in front over Donner. That's what the
cab-forwards were for.

Don't worry, though. The World's Greatest Steam Expert
will come out from Cheyenne and walk every inch of track
from Ogden to Donner with a measuring tape, just to make
certain.
