Thank You Bob. As for the Orange line, yes Zev really screwed us on that one, siding with the Orthodox group in North Hollywood. Cut and cover over that section of area like the Brit's do would have made the line a better LRT. Or God forbid, why did we not tunnel the Red Line down Ventura Blvd to Woodland Hills? Metro will have to do something in the future for sure.

I only wish that when they were laying out the SF Valley for streets, someone should have said "Hey, we need some diagonal main streets here!" Like Washington DC. But no, and now we are paying for the total replication of the old Red Car system. Old is new.

But as I sit in traffic in LA, I always turn to my wife and say: "Monorails. We need monorails on every main street" of course it will not happen.
