We had a cross-over quite similar to this in Sacramento for the Sacramento Southern RR to cross the Union Pacific main line. CSRM had to give UP advance notice (not sure how much) for their MoW crew to come in with a Pettibone SpeedSwing and bolt down the crossover rails for a consist movement from or to the shops, then unbolt it and stow the rails and hardware. The SpeedSwing was parked on site and dedicated to crossover use while that setup existed. It was replaced when UP realigned the curves and we now have a diamond crossover with power-operated derails and full signalization. Now all we do is ring up Omaha dispatch by radio and wait for clearance.
