You haven't been "broke in" right as a rail, until you've been deadheaded on the Dog. America's cheapest form of transportation can be a real eye opener for the innocent.

This signal the bus to stop may not have been an uncommon practice on the Dog. My dad once took the bus from June Lake back to LA when I was a Kid for some reason, and I seem to recall that they had some kind of signal for the bus on 395, to stop at June Lake Junction.
