TR-6's )aka SW8 without the calf), of which SP and subsidiaries had a few, they were used as dinky engines and locals like the Culver City job quite often, without the two SP calfs, which I believe lived out there lives at Roseville.

I've rebuilt my original brass TR-6 from 1967 to an 1100 class complete with an air horn and a "Beverly Hills" required PE whistle (ready for Jay Bell to put it on the ground, by running over the derail, on the Helms spur, on a quit night, in his youthful zeal, on the Culver City job), which runs still in my memories, and on my Pasadena Jct. layout... Those were some of the best jobs back then, with great folks like Kreiger, Satoris, and, of course, "Termiite" Hasbrook.....

Traction Effort "Boosting" Unit (aka TEBU;s), which we always considered kind of a joke name, weren't really needed so much for tractive effort at West Colton, and much as six more axles of added braking were needed to control the cuts, when you were "on the red" after they missed every other pin. There was a good reason Delellis kept the Taylor hump going for almost ten more years: better car counts.
