Tom Waits: Play With Fire

The great Tom Waits, Sonoma resident and retired musician, gave an interview to a paper and took the reporter to a truck stop diner at Haystack. There was a crossing there back then, this was before SMART, and the NWP was running then and Waits parked the car on the tracks and mused about taking risks. Gave no thought to the train crew that would have to check his lifeless body for life. Of course, waits might have also known that if the bridge was open for marine traffic the train would be coming through there extremely slowly if at all.
