Well;

The accidemt was reportrd at Kansas Ave.

There's not much cotton in Califoria anymore so likely it was a load of Cottonseed out of the adjacent JD Heiskel (Guernsey/Hanford) facility (just a guess).

That facility is even accepting shipment by rail of cottonseed in 50' boxcars currently, though most come in ex-woodchip cars, or new custombuilt hi-volume gondola.
